Morel Mushroom Propagation Workshop - MOVING ONLINE SPRING 2023
Bring the Morels to you! Learn the process for propagating Morel mushrooms using a grain spawn method. Full demonstration of the process will be provided, as well as written instruction for use with your own foraged specimens. Alternative methods of propagation, such as spawn slurry will be addressed. We will share information on the Morel life cycle, growing culture, and habitat.
We have been investigating Morel propagation since 2015, and have experimented with numerous methods. We are very excited to share what we believe to be one of the easiest and most effective methods we have successfully used!
Each participant will leave with an inoculated quart-sized jar of grain spawn to individually tend for fall planting. Outdoor activity (dress accordingly), rain or shine!
